Festive things to do on Christmas in Dubai

Christmas is almost here and It’s that time of the year when the homes are lit up and the city is in its shimmery best. For those who wishes to celebrate a white Christmas, Dubai might not be the first place that strike to your mind for a festive break. But with so many different communities coming together to celebrate the holidays, there’s certainly no deficiency of festive cheer. Dubai already has plans in place. There are plenty of Christmas events in Dubai coming your way From Christmas brunches to carols, special treats and pretty Christmas markets, there’s a lot you can do to feel the festive cheer, Schools, retail stores, restaurants and malls across the city are organizing up with gorgeous decorations and activities to celebrate Christmas in Dubai.


List of things to do on Christmas in Dubai


1) The Nutcracker

Catch all of the magic of the classic Russian ballet, The Nutcracker, at Dubai Opera this Christmas. The story revolves around Clara Stahlbaum, who receives a nutcracker from her godfather on Christmas Eve party. At midnight, the nutcracker comes to life and attacks the Rat King to run away from an evil curse and when he does, he transforms into a prince and invites Clara on an enchanting adventure.



2) Cinderella Brunch At Fairmont The Palm

A Magnificent lunch is coming to Fairmont this Christmas and it also brings with it a very special guest and that is none other than Princess Cinderella- A fictional character of Walt Disney. The five-star hotel is hosting a grand Cinderella brunch. A fairy-tale like Cinderella brunch is coming to Fairmont .The Palm this Christmas and its packed with all this dramatic. As well as a lip-smacking menu, the brunch also gives you the  chance to meet and greet all the characters in the fiction- including the wicked stepmother, and the cruel step sisters.


3) Habtoor Palace Festive Garden

Habtoor Palace’s magical Christmas market is back .Their stunning gardens will provide the setting for tons of fun and festive activities like a crazy golf and snow fighting for the more active children, a merry-go-round and a mini train for the smaller ones and even gingerbread house decorating. It will open on Dec 5th, with the Christmas Tree officially being lit at 6.30pm and visitors will be greeted by the sounds of a kids choir, with free mulled wine and mince pies floating around on that day.



4) Christmas Market at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah

If your perfect way of leading up to Christmas is getting lost for the afternoon in a Christmas market then this one is definitely for you. The Christmas market at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah has been steadily growing in popularity over the past few years and its fans will be glad to know it’s back . There’ll be more than 20 stalls with Christmas goods and festive food and drinks plus loads of things to keep the little ones entertained whilst you indulge you.



5) Magical Christmas Wonderland At QE2

QE2 will transform into a floating winter wonderland, wearing a glittery Christmas look. Guests can expect a fancy Christmas tree, Peter Pan-themed entertainment, a Christmas market and much more. The Christmas tree-lighting is scheduled on 13 December and will be accompanied by carols and a surprise appearance by Santa. Entry is free, but you will have to register in advance.
